Swimming Gala

7th April

Last week, Lower Perak Club (LPC) had organized a program called Swimming gala. It can be participated by any LPC members.  This programme is divided by age and gender for kids. The adults were divided into two groups, men/women, men /women seniors.

I started learning with Aunty Lisa during the school holidays. It took me two weeks to master a technique. At first, it was very hard but then it was just a piece of cake.

It started at 3p.m. in the afternoon. I am ready for this. I've swum a lot yesterday. I hoped that I can get a prize. Everyone was so excited.

First, there were picking ping-pong balls in the water for kids. The kid that picked the most ping-pong balls will be the winner. The children were very glad when they were playing the game, no matter they won or lost the competition.

Secondly, there was the Boys Breaststroke Competition. Some of the kids wore armbands and some did not. My brother participated in this competition.

Then, it's the same for girls. I was so excited. When the horn blared, all the competitors swam with all their might. I tried my best and got number two in the swimming competition. I am so happy.

After a while, it is time for the adults. There were breaststroke and freestyle competition. They swam very fast.

This program then ended. There is a lot of food for us to enjoy in the cafeteria. After finishing the delicious meal, we went home satisfied.
