Finally, are going on holiday. Destination : Pangkor Laut Resort, Perak. This is my second time to this island (although I have zero memory of the first time). Mom said I was there 10 years ago(1 year) and this is the evidence.
We went on the boat, put on the life jackets and sped off from Marina Island in the direction of
Pangkor Island. The boat took a turn to the back of the island and there stood the amazing scenery of Pangkor Laut Resort.
After about 5 minutes, we reached there. The service was top class. We were welcomed with cold towels and drinks to refresh ourselves. The receptionist briefed us on the activities and facilities available there. After that, she showed us our rooms. They even decorated the bed with rose petals. Wow, I really feel so special and important.
Another thing that I really like about the room is that it has a gigantic bathtub. My brothers and I were so excited that we wanted to dip and play in it right away.
At dinner, we rode on a van to eat at Uncle Lim's restaurant. We ate a lot of delicious food. I recommend all guests that YOU MUST EAT THE SOFT SHELL CRAB!!!
I ate a lot until I was very full. Suddenly, the waiters sang the birthday song and served a cake. It was Cen Yhing's birthday! How can I forget! I think the waiters there are so kind&helpful. After dinner, we took a walk on the jetty. We were so tired that we slept soundly when we reached our room.
In the morning, we woke up quite early than usual. We went to enjoy our breakfast at feast village. They serve international buffet. They gave a lot of choices for the tourist there. There is a lot of tourist from other countries. I ate a great meal. We also took some photographs.
After that, we went to the souvenir shop (the Kazbah) and saw many souvenirs such as T-shirts, purses, scarfs and many more that were pretty great, although we did not buy any of them.
We went jungle trekking lead by a resident naturalist. He explained some animal species there such as the flying fox which feed on sea almond fruits, the hornbill and others.
After a while, The rain started to drizzle. Luckily we brought our umbrellas. At that time, we are halfway near the beach. We still need to cross through piles of slippery roads&rocks.
Finally, it stopped raining. We could hear the sound of waves beating the shore. We had reached the beach, the Emerald Bay! We had fun there, building sandcastles, drawing, playing tick-tack-toe, picking beautiful corals, enjoying the scenery, sea breeze and sound of waves, and of course taking photographs. The weather was really fine that day making it possible for us to enjoy all these activities in the middle of the afternoon.
Then, we ate at Chapman's Bar. I learnt the history of Chapman. It served a variety of BBQ seafood. I had yummy ice kacang for dessert. Then, we visited the mysterious estates. It is divided into a few estates. Living in the estates totally luxurious beyond my imagination. It is really like living like a king in a palace. There were a few swimming pools, a garden in each estate. One of them also has a private beach.
After visiting, my dad and mum went for a rejuvenating spa at the spa village. We, kids below 16 years old, were not allowed there. So,
we went back to our room to play cards. I won some of the matches.
In the evening, the best part is swimming in the infinity pool. It really looked like we are swimming in the sea. Although it was quite deep, I could still manage to swim. I'm pretty cool, right? Although no photos to show. When you are swimming there, you can hear the sound of the waves.
Since we loved the buffet, we went for buffet again for dinner. This time, we had an international buffet. The food ranged from Chinese to Malay, Indian, Middle East, Western, Italian etc. I loved the macaroni most. I'd taken second and third helpings of it. We were also spoilt for choice with a variety of cakes, jellies, ice cream and tarts as our dessert.
The next morning, we had eaten some longans outside the verandah. An amazing thing happened.A few hornbills came to finish off the rest of the longans. I can't believe my eyes! The hornbills know how peel the longan's skin!
During breakfast, there was a good waiter that served us kids hot chocolate with some art on top.I got a smiley face while my brother has the one with the moustache.
During lunch, I ate the whole pizza and a banana split for dessert.
Before we get going, we took a lot of photos as remembrance.there are two photos that I love the most. Pretty great, right?
This was a memorable holiday with my parents, right?
